sonja weder and thomas schnider, were born in switzerland and working in zurich.

their extensive travels around the world led them to india in 1990. they made their home in goa, from where they run their interior decoration firm, "sotodecor".

india's traditions and striking natural colors have influenced and contributed to their creativity and designs.

sonja and thomas work with m.d.f., which is processed from dried cotton plants and is therefore very eco-friendly. it is strong, durable and economical.

they use hand made papers, non-ferrous powders and natural materials like plant leaves, fish scales, etc. to create exclusive textures and designs on the boards.

these boards are then combined with artistic yet sturdy, handcrafted metal stands to give their furniture a distinct identity. their furniture is custom-made, one-off productions or limited editions. besides regular items like tables, chairs and lamps, they also create objets d' art and accessories.

they have designed interiors and furnished many projects, commercial as well as private, in goa and throughout india.
